Personal Data Collection Notice (Article 8 of Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act)

Under Article 8 of the Personal Data Protection Act of Taiwan (Republic of China), when personal data is collected from a data subject, the following matters must be clearly communicated. This Notice is provided via a link on the sign-in page and applies together with the "Privacy Policy".
1. Collector (Entity Collecting the Personal Data)

2. Purposes of Collection
Providing the id.joelin.cc member identity verification and sign-in service, maintaining account security and preventing abuse, and keeping visit and binding records for connecting the services we operate; for those who press "Agree" on the consent screen, enabling you to sign in to Partner Brands' services with this account (see Article 6.2 of the "Privacy Policy"); and for those who separately tick the box to consent, also sending marketing information and (for those who consented on or after 2026-09-28) building Meta advertising audiences with hashed email addresses. In addition, from 2026-11-03, when an account is created, when you sign in to an affiliated website and when an account is deleted, account events are counted using an anonymous analytics ID that has been one-way hashed (not including your email address; see Article 6.1 of the "Privacy Policy").
Specific purpose codes (per the Ministry of Justice list “Specific Purposes and Categories of Personal Data under the Personal Data Protection Act”): 040 marketing; 069 contracts, quasi-contracts and other legal relationships; 090 consumer and customer management and services; 135 information (communication) services; 136 information (communication) and database management; 137 information and communication security and management; 157 investigation, statistics and research analysis.
3. Categories of Personal Data
Email address, marketing consent status, IP address of your connection, device and browser information, sign-in and visit records, an anonymous analytics ID that has been one-way hashed, and the Google Analytics client ID and session ID in your browser. If you choose third-party sign-in (Google / Apple / Discord), this also includes basic identifying information brought in with your authorization (name / nickname, profile picture); if mobile phone number verification is introduced in the future, it will also include your mobile phone number (this Notice will be updated at that time).
Personal data category code: C001 personal identifiers (e.g. email address, online account, name/nickname, photo (profile picture), IP address and sign-in records).
4. Period, Region, Recipients and Manner of Use of Personal Data

5. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you may request to inquire about or review, obtain a copy of, supplement or correct, stop the collection / processing / use of, or delete your personal data. How to exercise: email service@joelin.cc.
6. Effect of Not Providing Personal Data
Your email address is required for sign-in; if you do not provide it, identity verification cannot be completed and you will not be able to sign in or use the Service. Marketing consent is optional; not ticking the box does not affect your ability to sign in or use the services.
