This document is an English translation of the Chinese (Traditional) version. In the event of any discrepancy, the Chinese version prevails.

1. Contracting Parties and Scope

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a contract between you and 話圈圈股份有限公司 (Blobpot Co., Ltd., Taiwan, Tax ID 85082592; brand: joelin.cc) ("we" or "us") governing your use of the id.joelin.cc member identity verification service (the "Service").

The Service is a centralized identity verification service (Identity Provider): once you create a single member identity on the Service, you may use it to sign in to the websites and services we operate (the "Connected Services"). The content, transactions and customer support of each Connected Service are provided by that service and are governed by its own terms; these Terms govern only the identity verification service itself.

By clicking to sign in (including "Send sign-in link" and any future third-party sign-in buttons), you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and the "Privacy Policy". If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Account

  1. Creation of the account: Your account is created once you complete verification with your email address (Magic Link). Each email address corresponds to one account.
  2. Accurate information: You must provide a valid email address that belongs to you and can receive mail, and update it if it changes.
  3. Account security: The Service uses passwordless sign-in, and sign-in links are sent to your mailbox — the security of your mailbox is the security of your account. Do not share sign-in links or pages you see after signing in with anyone else. If you discover any unauthorized use of your account, please email service@joelin.cc immediately.
  4. Personal use only: Your account is for your own use only and may not be transferred, lent or sold.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  1. register or sign in using another person's email address or identity;
  2. request sign-in links in bulk using automated programs or bots, or crawl, stress-test, vulnerability-scan or otherwise access the Service without authorization;
  3. circumvent, break or interfere with the Service's security mechanisms (including rate limits and token mechanisms);
  4. use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or infringe the rights of us or any third party;
  5. reverse-engineer or decompile the Service, or provide services to others in the name of the Service (without our written consent).

If you breach any of the above, we may suspend or terminate your account and reserve the right to take legal action.

4. Changes to, Interruption and Termination of the Service

  1. We may add, modify or remove all or part of the Service's features at any time (for example, adding new sign-in methods).
  2. The Service may be interrupted due to system maintenance, failures of third-party services (such as database, email delivery or network providers) or force majeure; we will make reasonable efforts to restore it as soon as possible, but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  3. We may suspend or terminate your account in the following cases: you breach these Terms, it is required by law, or the Service as a whole ceases operation. If the Service as a whole ceases operation, we will give advance public notice or notify you in an appropriate manner.
  4. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account and personal data under Article 9 of the "Privacy Policy".
  5. After your account is terminated, your data in each Connected Service will be handled in accordance with that service's terms and policies.

5. Fees

The Service is currently free of charge for general members. If we charge for specific features in the future, we will announce this separately, and such charges will take effect only after we obtain your consent.

6. Intellectual Property

The intellectual property rights in the Service's website, software, trademarks, text and images belong to us or our lawful licensors. Except as permitted by law or with our written consent, you may not reproduce, adapt, distribute or otherwise use them.

7. Limitation of Liability

  1. The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranties regarding the merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose of the Service, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages or loss of profits arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
  3. Where you suffer damage due to our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, we are liable in accordance with the law, and the preceding paragraph does not apply.
  4. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid as manifestly unfair under Taiwan's Consumer Protection Act or other laws, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected.

8. Personal Data Protection

For how we collect, process and use your personal data, please see the "Privacy Policy" and the "Personal Data Collection Notice". These two documents form part of these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms. When we do, we will update the version number and effective date on this page, and we will notify you of material changes by email, an announcement on the sign-in page or other appropriate means. If you continue to use the Service after an amendment takes effect, you are deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms; if you do not agree, you may stop using the Service under Article 4.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). Both parties agree that the Taiwan Taipei District Court shall be the court of first instance for any dispute arising from these Terms; however, where the law provides otherwise for jurisdiction over consumer litigation (such as the Consumer Protection Act), such provisions shall apply.
